Emma Webb

Co-Founder, Director

Emma is a Movement and Theatre Director, with over 25 years experience working in teaching, participant & community theatre, which she loves as it "brings out the best and the most vulnerable in us, and binds us through unique shared experiences."

Lizzy McBain

Co-Founder, Director

Lizzy is a Designer & Director who grew up in Oxfordshire. She is passionate about creating life-long, transformative memories, and tackling feelings of isolation through making theatre with other people.

Georgia Bradley

Chair of Trustees

Georgia is Artistic Director/Joint CEO at Pegasus Theatre and formerly led The Mill Arts Centre as CEO. She has extensive governance experience and a strong track record in leading change. Georgia is also Parent Governor at John Henry Newman Academy in Littlemore where she lives with her husband and five-year old son.

Annabelle Robineau

Trustee

Annabelle is passionate about community theatre and its impact on mental health and wellbeing. A long-time participant in Oxford People’s Theatre projects, she is excited to continue this creative journey.

Cait Sweeney

Trustee

Cait is an interdisciplinary artist and former editor of Cowley News. She is launching a new community newspaper, The Oxford Voice. Cait values OPT for its joy, laughter & community and is committed to supporting its future.

Ian Nutt

Trustee

Ian is Head of Development at Oxfordshire Mind, with over 15 years in charity leadership. A dedicated amateur actor, he regularly performs across Oxfordshire and brings a love of theatre and deep experience in programme development to OPT.

Paul Simpson

Trustee

Paul is Head of Participation at Oxford Playhouse. A trained performer and experienced director, he champions co-creation and community engagement. Paul is thrilled to support OPT’s work and its commitment to inclusive, devised theatre.

Ellen Publicover

Community Advocate

Ellen is a Student Mental Health Adviser at Oxford Brookes and a passionate actor and singer. She believes in the power of community storytelling to foster wellbeing and connection and is inspired by OPT’s inclusive, creative ethos.

Jeff Bowersox

Community Advocate

Jeff is a historian, teacher & researcher at UCL with a focus on performance and race in popular culture. A regular performer in Oxford, he’s delighted to support OPT’s mission as a trustee.

Kara Young

Community Advocate

Kara is a psychotherapist and experienced actor, performing in immersive and community-led theatre. She brings a love of storytelling and wellbeing to her role with OPT.

Mark Taylor

Community Advocate

Mark is a neurodivergent drummer & artist, and OPT member with a diverse work background—from marketing to gardening & the ambulance service. He has experience of homelessness, living on the streets for a year after a period of poor mental health. He has experienced first-hand how OPT provides a safe supportive environment for people to thrive creatively who may not otherwise have access to such outlets.

Megan Hiatt

Community Advocate

Megan has performed in all OPT productions and co-founded Flying Fox Theatre. She brings experience from Oxford’s theatre scene and her union leadership role to support OPT’s community-centred mission.

Steve Jones

Community Advocate

Steve has been part of OPT from the start. A lifelong Oxford resident, he brings his love of theatre and team sports to the group, drawing many comparisons between these two pursuits, whilst appreciating OPT’s inclusive, collaborative spirit.

Becci Seaborne

Community Advocate

Becci has been involved with OPT from the beginning and has loved performing in three of their productions. A freelance consultant in the domestic and sexual violence sector, and independent chair for domestic homicide reviews, she finds joy and creativity through OPT and her passion for the performing arts, from community venues to the Royal Opera House.
